Harley started out as a directional driller at the young age of 16. He spent the majority of his career in Australia working on major projects for local councils and large construction companies, progressing up the ladder to become a drilling supervisor in 2010 at the age of 20. From there, Harley’s passion for the pipeline industry resulted in his moving into a managing role to start the pipeline company, which is now Utilities Infrastructure NZ Ltd.

Harley’s areas of expertise include; PE Welding, water reticulation, drainage, directional drilling and tunnel boring.

Gareth Bruce

Pre-Construction Manager

Gareth is our Pre-Construction Manager with over 10 years civil construction experience, delivering and leading complex infrastructure projects across a range of sectors. Having worked across the South Island, Gareth brings local knowledge, combined with operational expertise to ensure the smooth delivery of challenging civil engineering projects for UINZ. Gareth will interface and manage delivery across all levels of a project including commercial and contract, project management, and planning and procurement all whilst working inclusively with the teams on the ground.

Gareth supports his wider team to ensure he gets the best out of everyone while ultimately meeting the needs of the client.
