Pipe bursting is a trenchless technique used for replacing buried pipelines

These buried pipelines include; sewer, Stormwater, as well as earthenware, AC (Asbestos cement), and PVC pipelines..

This is done without having to excavate any trenches, consequently reducing the cost of expensive reinstatement often associated with the open-cut trenching method. “Launching and receiving pits” replace the trench needed by conventional pipe-laying methods.

As this method utilises the existing infrastructure corridor, there is no risk to other utilities being affected.
